About Me
Hello! I’m Sarah, a professional editor and writer in Portland, Oregon. My background is interdisciplinary, but I’ve been writing and editing for nearly ten years. Trained in editing at the University of Chicago, I specialize in technical communication, translating jargon into engaging and accessible writing. I work on a range of documents, from full environmental impact statements and feasibility studies to five-page case studies and technical proposals.
My editorial interests are varied, but I typically work in the environmental, biological, architectural, and information technology spaces. I focus on copy editing and line editing but provide proofreading and developmental services as well. Ultimately, I love learning and working closely with subject matter experts to produce polished, readable work.
